Our two fishing ponds have been stocked with Florida strain Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Channel Catfish and Copper Nose Bluegill. The ponds are managed to produce for both a great day of fishing with the family or for a challenge to the more avid fisherman who is on the hunt for the big one.
The club spent great effort and expense to design and create the ideal habitat for growing both size and numbers of fish. Pond bottoms were contoured throughout and over one hundred full size citrus trees were used to create fish habitat. Ten semi-truck loads of granite boulders and broken concrete were brought in to provide additional sub surface structure. Pea gravel spawning beds were created through out to encourage fish reproduction.
We currently maintain a fish feeding program with multiple fish feeders set up around the ponds as well as a top of the line, Vertex aeration system.
